Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the same place as Liam at the jct around 2100ft, NE of the peak. 4x4 could definitely do the final logging road spur heading south up to about 2300 from this point, and we probably could have made it in my rav4, but it's short enough that it just wasn't worth the risk. Coarser Brook Rd was actually in worse shape than South Valley Brook Rd, with a few spots with giant potholes, reminiscent of Success Pond Rd. Low clearance might be able to make it to our parking spot, but wouldn't be a fun drive.

Comments
Comments: We followed the potentially drivable road up to about 2300 where another overgrown logging road forks left (blocked by large rocks). The road is very helpful despite the vegetation - it's the sort of grassy growth that soaks your shoes from morning dew, but you can still make good time on. Once at the end of this road around 2500, we ducked into the woods and followed dry drainages on a pretty direct heading from the end of the logging road to the summit. Woods were good until about 2900 where it got steeper and tighter. Had no problem finding the register at the summit.

Descending, in hopes of skipping the tighter/steeper stuff, we headed due east off the summit until about 3050, where we headed NE back towards the logging road. This route was better than our ascent route.

Overall took us about 2:40, 1:10 from the end of the logging road at 2500 to the summit and 50 mins from the summit back to that point.
