wow what a gorgeous day.. made quick time on snowmobile packed Sawyer River Road..snowshoes went on at the river crossing on ascent and we left them on back to the car as the road softened during the day. Some snowballing in places on the climb but the descent was a perfect run on snowshoes..so fun.. great to run into and chat with Per, John, and Georg along the way and we marveled at the the conditions. Signal Ridge pretty well filled in with snow and might be a little tricky on the next cold day as there is some sideslope. Breezy along the ridge and quite windy on the tower but basically we hiked in base layers all day. Super day out with Valerie..6:12 car to car |
