Date of Hike: Monday, July 14, 2025
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We parked at the Welton Falls (South) trailhead in Alexandria, just on the side of the right-of-way that leads to the trail -- careful to pull way out off to the side so as not to (even remotely) impact access for the residents nearby who use the right-of-way to get to the driveway for their home. There's room here for a couple of cars.

Comments
Comments: We got out early this morning, trying to beat any thunderstorms, to do a clean-up on this trail.

Everything has been brushed and cleared, including strimming all of the grassy, brambly sections wherever there's an old logging skid path.

The only section that was not strimmed was the first 60 yards or so where the right-of-way (and trail) enters the woods past the pig sty, and begins to climb a bit. (Sorry; ran out of battery for the Ryobi strimmer!) From that point on, things are in lovely shape.

Humid day -- again, streams are almost bone dry, but rocks on the trail have thin layer of (slippery) moisture on them. It must be July.

Anyway, git this cleared trail while you can!
