Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Edmand's Col Cutoff, and the section of Six Husbands from aforementioned junction to Cornice, are in desperate need of a haircut. In most sections the footbed, while very obvious, is not visible at eye level and is very overgrown. There is also something illegal that needs to be dismantled along this trail (per USFS). Please email for description and location, as to not make said item public.

Comments
Comments: A FINE day to be above the trees. Per usual, no views on Jefferson but plenty afforded on the ascent along the Israel River and from the headwall. Purpose of this is for the trail maintenance section above. Saw only three people all day with the exception of the summit of Jefferson. Great trip down Castellated Ridge, of which we found a pair coming down. When asked, they said they through Cap's Ridge was supposed to be easy but was extremely difficult and took a different route back to their car (at Jefferson Notch). Said it was their first hike of the year and they didn't do much research. I figured at their pace, they would need the six hours remaining of daylight left to get to the Link and then over to JNR. I am almost positive this is the last time they will ever NOT research a hike before they do it. Didn't have the heart to tell them what to expect, figured they could use the hands on research.
