Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I was the only vehicle at the Randolph Town Hall today. A sign at the start of Groveway on Durand Rd. tells hikers to park there.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The bridge that used to span Carlton Brook on Bee Line is gone. I believe it washed away in the December 2023 storm. The crossing is rock-hoppable, though the rocks are wet and slippery. The crossings on Glenside and Diagonal are generally somewhat tougher. Groveway still has the Nepalese Bridge at its crossing.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Drainage is an issue on Burnbrae Path, between Diagonal and Bee Line - some wet areas there. Other than that, the trails are in good condition, except, as I've noted several times before, there's no sign for Glenside at its junction with Diagonal.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No issues.
Bugs
Bugs: Plenty. Bring bug spray or a head net.

Comments
Comments: I frequently try to visit this place whenever I'm in the area. It's a very beautiful area and an easy hike. My usual route is Groveway, across the Nepalese Bridge to Glenside, then Glenside up along Mossy Glen to its river crossing, then a very short and easy bushwhack up the bank to Burnbrae Path, up to Bee Line, Bee Line across Carlton Brook (which is now an unbridged crossing) to Diagonal, Diagonal to the top of Glenside, Glenside to Bluffway back to Groveway and out. The whole route is only about 1.2 miles, with about 220 vertical feet of gain. Very scenic area. This route might need to be altered in times of high water, since there's now only one bridge across Carlton Brook instead of two (no idea if the bridge that was once at the crossing on Bee Line is going to be replaced).

Always a worthwhile place to visit.
