 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I parked at Wildcat Ski Area. Wide open. Noticed the Pinkham Notch Visitor Center lot was quite full. |
|
 | Surface Conditions: |
Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |

|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The only notable issue here is the bog bridge near the top of George's Gorge that crosses the stream. One of the boards is broken on one end and the boards themselves were extremely slippery today as they were wet. I almost took a fall. Might be time to assess this crossing for future work. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few blowdowns on Crew-Cut between NH 16 and Liebeskind's Loop. The bog bridge sections on Liebeskind's Loop and George's Gorge need to be brushed out as they are very grassy. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |

 | Bugs: |
Not too bad today. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
Lost a few gallons of moisture from the humidity. |

Took a trip up here to check out these trails for the next WMG. Quite the little trail system! All of these paths are short but definitely have the distinct Presidential Range characteristics of being steep and rough. Also many little ups and downs that don't register on maps and provide a good workout.
Ground conditions were wet and somewhat sloppy in places due to both the rain last night and the ongoing Louisiana air. Lots of slippery rocks and roots. Some areas of mud, especially in low-lying, boggy areas.
I saw a few other people out there but did not see any views from the outlooks as the cloud ceiling was still too low this morning. |
