Awesome first hike up the rock pile for the Mrs. and kid #2. We drove through a crazy lightning storm and torrential rain on the drive up early-but the higher summits forecast was spot on and we had ample sunshine in the morning hours starting at 5:45. Ammo was slick as snot from all the rain but the kiddos did great navigating all the wet slab. Clouds got heavy as we left Washington summit around 11:30 and halfway down cog we heard booming thunder back above us. First time on Cog Rail Trail without snow-that’s definitely a one-and-done! I knew the footing was gonna be sh*tty but man did it suck! 10 and 11/48 for the boy:) Was amazing and rare to have the entire family out-my cup runneth over! |
