 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We spotted a car at Pinkham where we ended and started at the new Glen Ellis parking area which is very nice, nice bathrooms |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
one small crossing, very minor |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Some deteriorating bog bridges on the lower parts of Boott Spur |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
One of the two dogs in our group had trouble climbing a ledge outcrop on the Glen Boulder trail and had to be lifted (a harness would have been helpful). The other dog leaped right up. |
 | Bugs: |
Minor annoyance off and on, especially lower on Boott Spur, enough to warrant bug spray. Those large hornet looking things were at the summit but we took our break lower down. They are the 'mountain goats' of the bug families. I have seen them on Jefferson too. |
 | Lost and Found: |
I dropped a small white bottle of face sunscreen, nearly empty but sorry to leave anything behind. Picked up a wrapper to make up for it. |

 | Comments: |
A really fun loop with views so much of the way. There was talk of continuing up to Washington but it was mostly in the clouds so we stuck to the plan. Heard a helicopter hovering as we neared the junction with Tuckerman. Hope the fallen climber is ok. |
