Comments
Comments: Dry trails mostly, with minimal mud in sections some wet rock at end of bald circle trail towards emerald pool trail… no wet rocks anywhere on the scramble sections. Between Eastman & until you get to Baldface Circle Trail past Bicknell Ridge you are limited on water crossing to filter… this route is great, but I definitely recommend packing lots of water for that section. mosquitoes only coming up Eastman. Saw a deer at start of hike on emerald pool trail & saw about 12 ft ahead, a black bear running away from me, on Eastman Mountain Trail. Great views on this hike, I’d say there’s no reason clockwise was better than counter clockwise but I felt happy with my choice. Also, going emerald pool for a dip after is definitely worth the trip!
