Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Couple rock hops, also rock hops across a few muddy sections.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in fantastic shape. About half a dozen easy step over blow downs on the Mt Tremont. One larger one has several trunks to straddle over. Minor erosion after the final water crossing (just before the climb). Tremont trail is blazed in yellow, but I noticed most blazes around the last water crossing, not throughout.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Two very well behaved pups out enjoying the Mt Tremont trail today. Some running water at lower elevations for drinking, and potential to cool off in the stream adjacent to the trail near the end of hike, too.
Bugs
Bugs: Not bad

Comments
Comments: Was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this hike through this forest. Wilderness was peaceful (no traffic noise) especially in the COL between the peaks. Was concerned about the steep return trip back up Tremont from the COL, but it was not bad and over in a flash. Great 180 views from the top of Tremont and look outs.
