Comments
Comments: I had a few hours this morning to start "spring" cleanup on my adopted 1.4-mi. section of Downes Brook Trail from the trailhead to the wilderness boundary. Off to a late start this season due to recovering from a surgery thing.

Fortunately, everything was in really good shape up to just shy of the second brook crossing, which was my turnaround point for today. I cleaned 13 water bars, removed two small blowdowns, and cut back the hobblebush between the first and second brook crossings. That last one was a task I've been meaning to do for a while.

Saw a few other folks who were just hiking a couple miles up the trail and back. Otherwise, it was quiet as usual.
