Footpath is a service road that goes to the summit of Loon Mt, at the top of Upper Bear Claw. From there, the normal path is over the Sunset Loop trail to the summit of North Peak. However this portion of the trail is closed due to construction of snow making equipment. The gentleman at the summit who was assisting me had no information about the status or estimated completion date. |

Ski trails - Brookway. Lower amd Upper Bearclaw, Sunset Loop
Posting this to inform anyone planning to use the "designated" (per Loom Mt Trail Map) path to North Peak. The only alternative I am aware of is to use Lower Walking Boss and Upper Walking Boss. There might be other alternatives if you study the trail map. I don't know if the construction impacts UWB or if it prevents access to Black Mt path, so even that option may not work. |
