Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Easy drive to the parking area. I expected the road to be rough, but it was not. My Jeep was disappointed but your Prius will be happy.

Water Crossing Notes: All easy.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Reel Brook is in good shape. There are wet spots, but nothing unusual. The Kinsman Ridge trail had all kinds of blowdowns. Since this was an out-and-back hike, I counted them on the way back: 28 between South Kimsman and Harrington pond, then 26 between the pond and the Eliza Brook shelter. Even so, nothing was very troublesome to get around, over, or under.

Comments
Comments: Reel Brook trail is a pleasant hike. The beginning is wide, flat, and easy. The Kinsman Ridge trail, part of the AT, is well worn and easy to follow. Great view at Harrington Pond. The climb to South Kinsman was slow and steep. Nice views from the summit. Lots of nice cascades beside the trail.
