black flies.... wore a headnet at ledges. flicked 1 tick off my pant leg on ledges. |

This is a very enjoyable hike to some great ledges. beautiful stairs start you off at the trailhead with a wonderful field walk with many wildflowers and a view into Pinkham notch. the relocate trail is a great hike with some nice switchbacks. no views at the summit but if you go another 0.6-0.7 mile after summit you'll come to a sign... take a left and it will bring you to the mine or right to the ledges. had ledges to myself where it was later in the day. there was a low cloud cover but mountains weren't in the clouds. great day. |
