Water Crossing Notes: Dry conditions. There is one section with bog bridges, no issues

Bugs: Deer Flies were out and being a nuisance

Lost and Found: There is a dog bootie found and left at the sign at the start of the hike 
 
Comments
Comments: What an awesome place the David Dana Forest is. It is out in the middle of nowhere and leads to an abandoned gold mine. The trails and the signage are in great shape. You'd have trouble getting lost in this forest, unless you really wanted too. We only saw one other friendly couple while we were there. The Gold Mine was abandoned in 1885. Look like it was cut in about 15' before going down 100'. It has been back filled with stones and flooded, but still worth the trip as far as we were concerned. Except for sweating like pigs, it was an Awesome Hike! We did post our usual video on Youtube (4 minutes long) for anyone interested in seeing the hike. *Just click the link below...
