Comments
Comments: Crawford path was packed well up to Pierce. Lots of drifting over to Eisenhower. The trail up the summit cone was icy in spots but managed fine in snowshoes (which we wore all day). Crusty wind packed snow over to Monroe. Picked some snowfields to descend Monroe to stay off the steepest parts. Lots of fresh snow heading down Ammo. A large group with Moony Mountain guides wore only crampons despite the deep snow and chewed up the trail pretty good. Our group of 4 smoothed it out the best we could.

Forecasted high winds never materialized. Felt barely a gust all day. Visibility was good all day as the clouds barely touched the high summits.

Great day out. A big congrats to Heather for wrapping up her single season winter 48 on Eisenhower. Way to go!
