| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
couple of easy walk-arounds within the first mile of the trail head. One thing I noticed, I never saw any blue blazes the whole day, even on the new section that goes around the river crossing section. I'm not sure this was intended.
The Garfield ridge trail needs some spruce trimming. The frost trail needs a lot of trimming, constantly getting whacked if the face and pushing spruce brows out of the way. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
saw one dog, had no issues. |

| Comments: |
Bare booted the first two miles and then switched to snowshoes. Upper elevations had a lot of snow and snowshoes are necessary.
first couple of miles on the Gale river trail had frozen footprints that was rough walking on. |
