Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I'd never seen this before - there were cars parked along Ravine Lodge Road the entire way from the summer parking area to the winter parking lot. There was available space in the winter lot when I arrived, which worked out well since I was planning to park there the whole time. Ravine Lodge Road is in good condition, drivable for any vehicle.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: This trail is intended as a winter bypass, and so it has plenty of debris, low blowdowns, brushy areas, and a few wet sections. None of which would be an issue under a couple feet of snow. There are signs at both ends.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No issues.
Bugs
Bugs: They didn't bother me too much.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing.

Comments
Comments: Despite Put's Path being specifically designed as a winter bypass of the road, I decided to get it done for my redlining now since I had extra time today. About 75-80% of the trail is in the woods, and those sections are quite pleasant - gradual grades and generally good footing. The remainder of the trail, however, is just out in the open - on the high bank above the road. These sections are extremely brushy, with only a faint trail visible, but the trail parallels the road the whole way so you can't get lost. This was still a very quick redline, and now I'm interested to see what the trail looks like during its intended time of use!
