 | Water Crossing Notes: |
All fairly easy today. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Some blowdowns on Kilkenny Ridge Trail. All fairly easy to navigate around or over. One big blowdown quickly after beginning the descent of Middle Terrace was tricky and I wound up losing the trail for a minute. If descending, stay to the right, not the left like I did. |

Terrific counter clockwise loop of the Terrace’s. Upon some good advice, I decided to make a loop of this hike, rather than just an out and back of Terrace. What a good piece of advice that was. While only tacking on an extra mile at most, the ridgeline connecting these peaks along the KRT is beautiful with soft footing, easy walking and today it was showing off a bit with bunchberry dogwood and bluebead lilly, along with ferns, lining the trail for nearly the entirety of it’s 1.9 mile stretch from Terrace to Bunnell Notch Trail. Absolute gem of a loop! |
