Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Step over streams. Larger crossings are bridged, and one on Columbia road is flooded by beavers, but I walked across their little dam.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Plenty of blowdowns on Cohos trail between Gadwah Notch and Baldhead shelter. Someone had started work recently delimbing so they are pretty easy to step over. Shouldn’t take too much work to clear the rest with a handsaw. The trail is blazed well thankfully, as it feels like a bushwhack in spots due to the hobblebush, and with little traffic there isn’t a well beaten path yet.

Comments
Comments: I bushwhacked straight up through relentless hobblebush, then thick pokey woods to the summit of Muise, then down the other side to Gadwah Notch. I highly recommend taking the CT to the notch and doing an out and back to bag Muise. This was 99/100 for my Nh100 and it was a tough one going up, not too bad going down. Not the worst, but thick on the top half. A longer than expected jaunt out and back to Baldhead South peak winding up and down through hobblebush. Shortly after passing back through Gadwah Notch, I left the trail and whacked along the 2800 foot contour just before the first crossing of Nash Stream to the other 2 peaks. The first one wasn’t immediately visible, it was hidden to the right of some other bumps. It didn’t take long to reach summit jar, and the next peak looked far away but it was also quick work, and the “bog” in the col wasn’t an issue to step across. Nice ferny glades. I took a chance and went down the other side to Columbia Rd, which was a snowmobile route, it had some beaver flooding but otherwise looked drivable if it wasn’t gated. It was an easy jog back. About 8 hours for this 12 mile, 4,000 ft lollipop loop.
