 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The short non-pavement section of the road to the trailhead has some really big ruts, and one crater-sized pothole full of water. My Subi did fine. There is enough parking for maybe a half dozen cars. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
There is a tiny water crossing (or a large drainage?) that had the perfect spot to fill up my Sawyer for water. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
My dog had a great day and met one other super nice doggo! |

 | Bugs: |
Egads. We departed with more than a half dozen ticks, and despite the wind, shared the summit with some very hungry black flies. It’s pretty rough out there, right now! |

Wowza. Whoever the trail adopter is, is a rockstar. Those are some textbook perfect drainages (and by some I mean a gazillion - that’s a lot of perfectly maintained drainages!). There is also some fine, recent ax work. Wowza. Thank you!!
This is only the second time I have ever hiked this, because it’s a really long drive for me, but I was reminded about how great of a hike it is! I am putting this on my list for fall because I bet that roadwalk, and the summit view, would be pretty spectacular with fall foliage color! |
