Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails were in great condition. A couple of easily navigated blowdowns on the Garfield Ridge Trail but they were not an issue. As I passed the Gale River junction heading toward the Galehead Hut met 2 US Forest Service workers replacing the sign post. I also met a gentleman who volunteers who had cleared all the water bars and blowdowns on Gale River that day and was headed to do the same on the Twinway on Saturday. Thank you!

Bugs
Bugs: No bugs whatsoever which was a pleasant surprise.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: There were a couple of yellow rain jackets hanging at the sign post for the junction of South Twin and Galehead Hut.

Comments
Comments: The hike up the Mount Garfield trail was a breeze and didn't really feel like I was gaining elevation until after Garfield Ridge. Garfield Ridge was in great condition but did feel like it went on forever. The hike down Gale River was easier as well and the whole hike was a blast. This was a long but great loop!
