Comments
Comments: Received the best Father's Day present day ever from Margaret as she accompanied me on both of our first ever full presidential traverses! At seven years old she was still hiking fast and strong at the end of the day, while I found myself violently dry-heaving off the side of the trail on the final mile due to poor nutrition and lack of sleep(legs were strong though)! Took us 13.75 hours start to finish. It was the most beautiful, perfect presi weather I have ever encountered-just a gem of a day. Never too hot or cold with intermittent cloud cover starting between Adams/Jefferson. Only a light breeze all day with occasional calms. Star Lake trail is an awesome route from the hut up Adams-incredible views the entire way up and fun scrambling at the top. Had some really awesome early morning conversation on Madison summit with father-son NB thru hikers "Papa Bear" and "Nature Beast"-great way to kick off the traverse. Instantly my favorite hike ever-gonna be hard to ever top it:) Happy belated Father's Day to all the dad's out there!!!
