 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
plenty of parking on Old Dicey Rd near jct with Back 80 Loop Trail. Driving portion of Old Dicey Rd was a bit rough with some puddles (much smaller this week than last) and cross-road bumps, but, there weren't any large washouts. Still, I wouldn't want to try in something with low clearance. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
all crossings relatively easy - water has dropped over the last week |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Good going on the Oregon Mtn Trail about halfway to Mowglis, then there were quite a few blowdowns and deadfall, which continued on and off down to the junction with the Back 80. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
|
|
 | Bugs: |
Didn't really need bug spray but did carry it. Main issues were that we pulled at least 10 wood ticks off and there were a few black flies, but, there were a lot of horse flies, probably due to proximity to the beaver ponds. |

Also, I'm sure the trail sign near the summit of Mowglis showing the Elwell Trail going east was there somewhere but we never found it and overshot our planned route. It wasn't until we got to the viewpoint off the southern shoulder of the bump southwest of Mowglis that I realized we were on a bigger loop than we actually intended.
Terrific after-lunch hike and a nice loop. Love these lightly-trodden trails. Always good blazing even when the footbed isn't all that obvious. Thank you to who cut out the bunch of blowdowns along the eastern end of Oregon Mtn Trail!!!! |
