Comments
Comments: Valley Way was broken out by a solo hiker who started a few minutes before us. Generally 2-8" of new snow with quite a few extended knee deep drifts. Even after the day's traffic (not too much), the trail was still very soft - snowshoes a must.

Heading up to Adams, conditions ranged from drifts to hardpack to some exposed rocks. Low visibility, cold winds. Snowshoes still seemed like the best choice though.

Osgood from the hut to Madison was doable with snowshoes, but some sort of light traction could have worked as well, as lots of rocks were still exposed.

The famous moose is still hanging out around treeline, feasting on spruce.

Congratultions to Sabrina for finishing the Winter 48, and to Mark and Val for finishing the Single Season Winter 48!
