 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Downes Brook was a boots off crossing for me. There was a group in front of me that sounded like they went a ways down river and found a dry crossing but I like to try to stick to the trail. All other water features were easy hop overs. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
as previous posters have mentioned there are two decent trees down on Mt. Potash trail that require some off trail adventuring. Other than that there may have been one other step over tree on Potash and nothing on Hedgehog |

Started the day with Potash. As mentioned above had to do the crossing with boots off, could not find an easy dry route. Wet areas here and there on the trail up Potash but nothing bad. Already mentioned the handful of trees. Trail is generally in good condition. Went back down Potash and then immediately when up Hedgehog. Seems like there was very recent trail work on the chunk leading up to the split which was very much appreciated! Went counterclockwise around the loop. Passaconway is massive towering over you which is pretty cool. I don't think there were any trees down along this entire route. And not much mud either, a couple wet areas on the trail though. Full loop of the two mountains ended up being 9.5 miles and 2725ft elevation gain. |
