Comments: It would be a bad idea to venture up here Friday without snowshoes.

Generally about 2-6" of new powder. However, upon reaching the ridge (circa the Sosman Trail junction), there is significant drifting, aided by a wind out of the East. Some drifts were 5 feet tall. To reach the summit, I took the Sosman Trail (left at junction), which got me out of the wind, and back to 2-3" of new snow, until just prior to the summit, where there were some big drifts again.

Along the ridge, my tracks and drift breaking efforts were quickly getting covered up by the wind.

Trail is broken out from the trailhead, however it is not well packed (except where skiers use the middle portion).

Snow started to taper around 6 PM.
