Parking/Access Road Notes: Lot was empty. Lots of space to park.

Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud

Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Light Traction, Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All te big crossings down low were fully bridged. Many of the smaller ones higher up were open but they are generally so narrow and shallow so they are not a problem. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple blown downs but nothing serious at all. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Great conditions for Sheep. The trail was super packed and the temperature was just below freezing most of the day. We had very few issues with ice in the paws today.

Comments: Trail was really well packed all the way. I used snowshoes but crampons may have been a better choice. The steep section before the ridge had enough loose snow that I'm not sure if microspikes would have worked well. Snowshoes were very clumsy coming down this section. The one hiker I passed with crampons was doing great coming down.
