Light rain off and on for the whole trip made for a sloppy day. Trails were mostly fine. One long stretch of mud down low. One small section of avoidable snow between the two peaks is all that’s left. Though forecast is calling for fresh snow tonight so this report might be outdated. The cold temps and wind caused some rime ice up on the ridge. Fallen ice also littering the trail that made for some slick footing once in awhile but nothing that warranted putting on spikes. Another week or so and winter will be officially closed here. |
