Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: I think I was probably the first person up the Bobcat tr this season (Tower rd gate was just opened recently and didn't see any boot prints in the mud). Lots of debris down- numerous limbs/trees bent over the trail that can be handled with a handsaw, there were about 4-6ish trees that need a chainsaw (2 were walk arounds, the others were duck unders). I kept hucking branches off the trail, but there is definitely more for the next hikers). Some water flowing in the trail at the beginning, it is spring. Coot trail/road more or less fine.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No one else on trail.
Bugs
Bugs: To cold for them.

Comments
Comments: Made the pilgrimage to Magalloway mtn today (long ways from home!). Pretty up there. I didn't find the views dramatic (although the cliffs were pretty cool), but the vastness of the uninterrupted wilderness gave me hope for our planet Earth.
A few fun facts:
-I found out a couple days ago that Magalloway rd is gated closed for mud season Apr through May. I called the Pittsburgh office of DNCR and the person there said that somebody had recently cut the locks on the roads and they weren't going to relock them. Something to keep in mind for the future.
-As of today, Magalloway rd and Tower road were in great shape, DNCR cut a couple trees that needed it. Thanks guys! I have a sm. truck, but I would take my wife's Suby down there w/o a second thought.
-Tower rd is not marked (I didn't see one), but the blue E911 sign # is 1176.
-Cell service (my phone is Verz) is good out there, Google Maps/Strava worked great.
-The viewpoints at the cliffs go straight down, if you have kids/dogs beware. There is not a big viewing ledge, they are breaks in the brush and they don't go very far before the edge.
