 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Moose Mtn. Trail: Blazing is pretty ok but non-standard in size and faded in places (there's a sign near the trailhead warning about unauthorized blazing of the AT); I don't recall any significant blowdowns; rock water bars need cleaning. Nat Thompson Trail: Scattered blowdowns above the ski loop junction; rock water bars need cleaning; significant trail creep around wet areas. |

 | Comments: |
Most of this loop was dry. Nat Thompson had one long stretch of wetness/mud above the ski loop junction; there's a lot of trail widening in this section along with a parallel herd path created by hikers avoiding the muck. Moose Mtn. Trail only had a few scattered areas of mud. Still a decent view from the ledge outlook on South Peak but the foreground trees are intruding into the vista a bit.
Felt like summer out there today, especially with the black flies. They started swarming as soon as I got out of the car. Those little darlings. |
