Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Sucker Brook was high, but there were plenty of stepping stones.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of blowdowns between Three Ponds Trail and the summit. These were easy to get around (at the expense of some trail braiding). I also walked about a mile down the west side of the mountain. The northwest slope has lots of blowdowns above 2000 feet. It looks like heavy snow snapped off the tops of many spruce trees.

Comments
Comments: This was a mostly viewless hike. There are some very restricted views on the summit, but the old fire tower footings are interesting.

It was still a gorgeous spring day. There were lots of wildflowers out including Trillium, Spring Beauty, and Yellow Violets. And I have never seen so many Trout Lilies. They were all over the footpath for more than a mile.
