Comments: Ok, so I love Algonquin Trail, saw the road was open, but couldn't find any reports about the road condition yet. So I braved it in my Honda Civic. Probably not the best choice but whatever. I even drove the entire length of the road. The northern part honestly isn't that bad. I expected way worse... especially with all the rain. If you go very slow and pick your route carefully, you can get a very low clearance car down it without bottoming out. The southern half, not as good. More rivets, potholes, rocks, ruts, etc. I did bottom out twice, wished I went back the way I came, but figured I might as well let everyone know the condition of the whole thing. Any car with more clearance than a civic should be fine.

The trail was in decent shape, muddy, slick, etc, all to be expected. I moved as many branches as I could while still moving forward. There are some trees down (I think most could be cleared with a handsaw), low hanging branches etc. The moss is pretty loose because of the rain so it was rather precarious going off trail. Did manage to take a lovely, sliding fall about six feet down. Either way, still one of my favorite trails.
