 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of roadside parking for the 5 cars there. |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Small Patches |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
All water crossings were rock hoppable although typically spring time high. |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Significant numbers and size blowdowns from about a quarter mile above the Pine Bend and Scaur Ridge Trail junction to the junction of Mt Tripyramid and Sabbaday Brook Trail. We removed everything we could without tools but this is going to take a fair amount of effort and large tools as the blowdowns are frequent and large trees. |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
No pups today. The steep ledges and blowdowns would be a challenge for some dogs. |
 | Bugs: |
Getting active in the afternoon. I got at least one bite but breeze kept it from getting bad. It probably will get bad this week so bug dope is recommended! |
 | Lost and Found: |
Nothing of value |

 | Comments: |
No significant snow or ice with the longest remnant monorail and tread about 20' but mostly avoidable. One or two spots the ice is in a tricky spot on the descent requiring deliberate foot placement but nothing worth putting on spikes for. Typical spring wet ground and minor mud but nothing unusual. The biggest issue are the numerous and large blowdowns from a half mile below North Tripyramid on the north and south side on the Pine Bend and Mt Tripyramid Trails. Plan on a little longer and more effort getting through. |
