Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Surprised to say they were all easily rock hopped. Water level at the 1.5 mark was a bit higher in the morning than in the afternoon so I went a bit upstream in the AM to find a good spot to cross.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in amazing shape. One blowdown by Norcross, easily hopped over. Some blowdowns on Mount Nancy herd path needed a work around.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: 1 friendly black lab at the end of the hike.
Bugs
Bugs: Incredibly none all the way to Nancy. A few were waking up in the sunshine around Norcross Pond, but that was it until I got back to the car and the males were buzzing a bit, but not biting.

Comments
Comments: Absolute bluebird conditions for this hike today. Perfect temps, never to hot or to cold. No bugs to speak of and the views were spectacular. The only snow on this entire hike was right around Norcross Pond in two separate 25-30 foot long patches. They were supportive and not a problem at all. The Picaridin, spikes, gloves, winter hat etc., all went for a ride today. If you need Nancy for the NH100 or NE100 and can get there this week before the bugs take over, now is the time!
