Soggy sock season!
Due to the rain Friday and Saturday, Cedar Brook Trail was a muddy mess Sunday morning, but by the afternoon on my way out, it was in better shape. Still, some sections were more creek than trail, and a few water crossings were dicey. Bring extra socks!
No snow or ice to note during the ascent or descent. Some trace snow with a few inches of monorail in between the summits, but it only goes for a few hundred feet and is on a flatter portion. Traction shouldn't be necessary on these peaks for the rest of the season unless we get some new winter weather.
Gorgeous day in the Whites. Photos below! |
