Comments
Comments: Bareboot the whole hike, sawyer river rd completely dry. Mix of the listed surface conditions on Signal Ridge Trail, nothing that a little extra caution when needed or minor bushwhack around cant get you past. The small sections of snow do not affect travel, the side of trail in those parts can be done without having to walk snow. Some areas with water drainage issues or moving water. Recommend offline navigation to reference or knowing your route via map, as there’s really no blazes past the first 1/2 mile of signal ridge trail. Bring bags if you prefer not to take your boots off, the brook is high I opted barefoot & didn’t get anything wet , that I wanted to stay dry.

Honestly a glorious trail condition given other potential for shoulder season conditions this time of year. Awesome views on ridge 1/2 mile from the summit & the 360 views from the tower.

Have fun, happy hiking & be safe!!
