Parking for several vehicles at the trailhead for the Back 80 Loop, at the end of Welton Falls Road. Road up to the parking area is pretty rough in some spots, so high clearance is recommended. |

Trails are in fine shape now -- all blowdowns mentioned in our May 1 conditions report have been removed. |

Nothing of note -- too windy for anything -- except back at the car after clearing trails, the black flies made a brief appearance. They are annoying. |

 | Comments: |
A lovely loop over the two summits this morning with the express goal of cleaning the trails. Everything is in good shape now -- we might come back one more time soon to enjoy this, and do some light brushing and blaze refreshes.
Trails are still pretty wet, though, and very slippery in spots -- might be a good idea to give them another day or so to dry out. |
