Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: 1st crossing was too deep for rock hopping so we used sandals and another friend used garbage gaiters. Spirited water flow but not dangerous yet although that could change in the next few days.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: We removed a dozen blowdowns that had recently thawed from the melting snow and ice. There's still a few left that will require saws and more lift then I could provide.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No pups today
Bugs
Bugs: Happily none!
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a black aluminum thermos bottle and placed at the kiosk at the far end of the parking lot. There's a blue Kula Cloth there from a previous day.

Comments
Comments: Surprisingly snow free! Other than an isolated patch of snow and ice on the Misery Mile there was nothing until about 3900'on the switchbacks. And the longest section was maybe 100' long, not too deep and either easily avoidable or soft enough to kick steps. No spikes needed for ascent or descent, although we carried them.
