 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Feet stayed dry in gore-tex shoes until it started raining, then I wasn’t so careful rock hopping. There’s 3 stream crossings that I expected to be higher but weren’t bad. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Blowdowns. About 10 between North and Middle peak are over 6”. Another few big ones around Livermore Pass. The rest are small enough for anyone to cut. I forgot my saw again but I was able to pick up quite a few and throw them aside. They are all mostly unfrozen now. |

 | Lost and Found: |
I packed out a wool hat from Scaur trail. Saw a glove while climbing the slide but it was out of my reach. |

 | Comments: |
Not much snow left round these parts. Surprisingly almost none between the peaks. There’s some ice coming down Pine Bend from 4180 ft to 3600 ft but I didn’t bother with spikes. I did grab trees and crab walk because its steep wet rock. There’s one other patch of noteworthy snow maybe 30 feet long north of the pass, careful not to posthole through this. The bottom half of the slide’s quite slippery even on a good day and was extra wet today. The top half was dry though, and sunny at lunch time; the perfect spot to bask and take in the view. I heard a rumbling in the sky and it poured on my way down Scaur trail, which was loaded with spring wildflowers blooming. Found one tick on me. |
