Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Ample parking - the real challenge is getting safely across to the trailhead on that hairpin turn
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable), Snow/Ice - Postholes
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: There are several - last time up here I counted 13. Helpful if you have waterproof boots as some rocks are under water. Water is high but we had no trouble picking our way across each
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Someone in our group carried a saw and cut a few smaller blowdowns out of the way up on the ridge, mostly clear of debris. Probably could use some water bars below the trail split as water is running down the trail quite a ways
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: saw none
Bugs
Bugs: none - cool, light rain and wind kept them away
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: There is a ball cap hanging on a branch just as you enter the trail off the road

Comments
Comments: We went up South, across the ridge and down North. Met a few solo hikers along the way - most seemed to be doing it the opposite way. We chose to go up to South first having heard that's where most of the snow was (there and on the ridge). We put microspikes on just after the trail split and kept them on until we returned to that point. 2 grey jays at the summit of South, heard a fox sparrow and yellow rumped warbler and lots of may flowers.
