Comments
Comments: Mix of spring conditions today with a race against the afternoon rain. Thought about snow shoes but left them in the car and was thankful I did. Bareboots until the "switchbacks" before the ridgeline then spikes to the ridge. Bareboots again until the summit push. Most monorail inconcentrated in the center of the trail and still pretty well compacted snow. Snow gets to a maximum 1.5 feet in only a few places. Very slick rocks on the steeper sections, still wet from rain and snow melt - many wipeouts and a few bruises - be careful! Overall great day to get this one in with views at the summit and scattered showers on the way down.
