Trail Maintenance Notes: significant erosion on steepest part about 2 miles in. Lots of side trails forming.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: dogs not allowed at Monadnock St Park but there were 2 Good Boys near to the trailhead, and an apologetic owner.
Bugs
Bugs: afternoon warmth brought them out, no bites but a lot of in-your-eyes-and-ears types. Some bug spray and a bit of breeze brought relief.

Comments
Comments: Trail mostly dry, wet areas easily navigated. Two miles of flat approach, then rocky ascent. Exposed ledges and great views from about the 3 mile point onward. Be prepared for some rock scrambling at the final approach. Take care when returning - I nearly took the red-dot trail back down, looking down at my footing rather than up at the signage. Be sure you watch for trail signs on the return!
