Bugs: They’re buzzing. Only gonna be a matter of time until they’re out in force. Might not be a bad idea to start packing the bug spray in the bag.

Comments
Comments: Trails are in good shape for late April. There is mud in the usual spots, but nothing crazy.

The biggest thing I noticed is the amount of leaf litter down low. These trails have definitely not seen a lot of foot traffic yet, since the beech leaves are mostly whole, and there’s a lot of them. Be careful with your footing, as they’re slick and they’re hiding a lot of roots.

Took the “dry season” part of Carolyn’s, and there was very minimal water in a couple spots on the boardwalk.
