 | Comments: |
Dicey dicey dicey. The snow was pretty well packed from Lafayette campground to the kinsman’s with only a couple post holes when I had to go off trail to avoid the water crossings, but going over kinsman ridge trail to cannon mountain was WILD. It took three hours to get two miles because every other step I was deep in snow, up to my hips at times. Soaked feet. Not too cold thankfully, but wet. The section of the ridge trail between lonesome lake trail and hi cannon trail was pure hell. Super steep, and then suddenly was up a frozen waterfall with no way down. Thankfully went down hi cannon after sumitting, but even that was pretty sketch. I was happy to have run into some other folks to go down together. Be prepared. Don’t go up anything you don’t want to go down. |
