Comments
Comments: My group was breaking trail most of the way. 2-5 inches of wet sticky snow down low. 6-8 inches of fluffy powder (with thigh high drifts in places) up high. Ledges were tricky, an ice axe would help but we just stick close to the trees and used them for handholds. Two in my group had snowshoes, one in crampons. Saw a woman barebooting, but she was turned around at the ledges. Everyone else in snowshoes. Good day to be out, fun glissading and sliding on the unbroken powder.
