Comments
Comments: Lincoln Woods was super muddy in some sections. We barely booted until 3.8 miles into the hike and then put spikes on. Mostly bare ground until then with some ice monorails that were avoidable on the way. Once spikes went on the trail went to full snow in no time. Solid if you stayed in the middle. The ladders are covered in snow. From about 3400ft to 3600ft are the ladders under snow and super steep. Since the snow was soft a bit we did get some traction but took it slow. Once at 3600ft trail leveled off for a bit before we climbed again. No real ice issues on the trail and we were pleasantly surprised how nice the trail was. On our way down we passed a few kids coming up without spikes and did make the trail a little messier however it’s still in amazing shape for April. The ladders were slow coming down and the trees on the side helped.
An amazing day and only got rained on a few times and it felt nice since it was so warm
