Comments
Comments: We barebooted up Imp Trail (South) to about 2400' then put on spikes. We switched to Hillsound Pros for the ridge although spikes would have worked also. There was consistent snow along the ridge except for the few rocky knobs without trees. Overall the trail conditions were good everywhere except Carter Dome trail above Zeta. There is a narrow/steep sidehill between the two junctions for Mt Hight. It is no worse than it has been other spring seasons but do yourself a favor and bring a small saw to clear the branches in the way of the narrow tread on the side hill. There are several places you need to work yourself around branches/trees without slipping off the side hill. This is the main section where you might want better traction than just spikes. I switched to rock spikes below the Carter Dome/Nineteen Mile Brook junction.
