Comments
Comments: 4-5 inches of new snow at the cul-de-sac. 6-8 by the time I reached the false summit on Firewardens. After that, it got deeper and the drifts got more prevalent. Although traction is a personal choice, snowshoes were extremely useful on the upper section. Even with them, I was sinking in some of the drifts. Cleaned it up a bit on my way back down. Moose tracks on the trail up high, also. S/he left very deep postholes. Summit was windy, as predicted, and socked in with clouds. Trip down was fast and pleasant - met up with one skier who, I think, enjoyed his day out in the glades. Ran into no other hikers on the trail today. No one has been out North Twin Trail past the Firewardens junction.
