The snow is soft. Snowshoes all the way. Those ahead of us (saw 2) either bare-booted or just had spikes and did a lot of post holing. Trail is packed in places but soft and a mess of potholes on some of the ledges. Highly recommend snowshoes to improve this trail as more snow falls and temps drop.
Great day on Welch-Dickey, as always, though. Quite the snowstorms on the summits! |
